Judging from the pitch locator on MLB's GameDay, it seems that Colon is a bit all over the place.

Hopefully the Sox can get to Wells some, since I think Bartolo may give up 4 or 5 runs tonight.

Big Hurt! Yard!

Wells just walked Lee, he is favoring his back.

Willing to bet his back was fine when he was getting us out. What a coinkydink!

Konerko on 2nd, Crede doubles to deep right, Konerko only gets to 3rd???

What gives?? What happened??

Smoking the baseball, and the baserunning mistake by Paulie ends up not hurting. 5-2 YES!

Hawk said he might have been trying to tag. Either way it was just bad baserunning.

We should have kept Jiminez. This Alomar clown is no good.

I hate it when all we do is hit home runs. Can't we manufacture some runs tonight?

Haha ... no kidding.

"In chapter two, I talk about how you can never be too safe at third base. In chapter three, I reveal the 'Paul Konerko' theory by which you fool them into thinking you're slow by not scoring on a deep double, and then you turn on the turbo boosters when they're least expecting it--on an infield hit. ... Or, at least that's how it's supposed to work."

"Even I'm not that dumb Paulie."

This is sweet. What was all this talk about the great pitching the yanks were throwing at us? No sir, we will not be swept.

This offense is finally starting to show me why I was so excited about this team before the season started. Its about time. Lets hope the hot hitting can hold up for the rest of the season AND the Playoffs.

It was good to see Graf pick up Paulie's baserunning blunder. You figure if Paulie stays put, Olivo is out anyway. So that was nice to see.

I know one thing. Good teams pick up those big hits when they make mistakes.

wonder what the royals and twins have been thinking the last two days when they look up at the scoreboard and see us pounding the yanks into submission when they couldn't win once here.

I luuuuuv when Fatso tips his head back and stares at the sky in disbelief.

Final tally for Wells, 10ER. He beats Clemens by 1ER.

Mussina has a puddle under his spot on the bench right now.

No celebration yet. Colon's gotta take us to the 8th or 9th. If you let down they'll get back in the game.

Getting Robbie Alomar is one of the, if not THE best move the GM has made since he's had the job. There is no downside to the way this guy plays the game. When the SOX win it all , we will all look back to the moment he entered the lineup as the time when we joined the true dealers for the championship.

Dude, this one is in the bag.

It sure is sweet to pay back David Wells for the weak effort and the commotion he created in 2001.

I was thinking that if we won this game, I would be fine going with Cotts tomorrow, but forget it!

I wanna go for the juggular! SWEEP EM!!!!!!!

Not that Cotts couldn't do the job, especially with the way we are swinging the bats, but Buehrle has never pitched in Yankee Stadium and deserves the opportunity!

LuvSox

Does Cotts need the pressure of Yankmee stadium, or would he better suited for Comerica? I vote for Burly-man

If we had picked up a game or two in the division, I'd say go with Cotts, but our lead is probably still going to be one after tonight. Can't expect much from Texas pitching ... hopefully Anaheim can do some damage against the Twinkees tonight.

That being said, a sweep with Buehrle on the hill would be sweet.

Whatever they're feeding Paulie in New York, I hope they pack some leftovers in his suitcase!

11-2. Nice exclamation point!

I'll add a separate exclaimation point by stating that the Cubs have just given up 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to fall behind the Cards 3-2... bases still loaded, 1 out.

Nice. outscoring the Yanks 24-4 in the first two games should keep these guys thinking they can win every game for the rest of the season.

I love that we'll take at least 2-3, but screw that - let's go for the sweep tomorrow.

I would agree. Maybe we can start a PAL fund, to have him go to all remaining Royals games at Kaufmann.

Luv that concept! :D: However, I can't get away from work, unless someone can clear it through Donald Rumsfield (I already know the answer :(: )

I wonder if there's any question as to who's the best team in the division now!!! Unlike in 2000, we are peaking at the RIGHT time!!! 5-1 is the worst we will do on this road trip...

Are we even playing on the ROAD???

Good omen:

Chicago's 24 runs the last two nights are the most by a visiting team at Yankee Stadium since the White Sox won 10-9 and 17-4 on June 17-18, 2000.

this reminds me of the tear the sox went on vs KC in KC.
sure we lost 2/3 vs seattle after that, but that tear we went on was after a long winning streak. i think this one is the beginning of a winning streak.

i could easily be wrong, but the way the sox have played the past 2 days vs the 2nd best team in the majors... 9 HR's, half a dozen doubles, 2 triples...
we own the yankee's now. if we face them in the playoffs i'm not worried at all.

god i love how this sox team steps it up versus teams that have an aura about them (re: cubs, yankees)
