ELo's been getting a lot of full counts tonight... these guys don't nibble at the corners.

Crede went long to make it 2-0 last inning.

Konerko gets his second RBI tonight with a gapper going all the way to the wall scoring Maggs from first! He gets caught in a run down between 2nd and 3rd to end the inning though...

3-0 Sox going to the bottom of the 4th.

BUT HOW THE F&*@ does a major leaguer, who knows he is the slowest guy on the field, get thrown out at third with 2 outs?

My little leaguers don't do that. My beer league softball team doesn't do that.

NEVER make the first or the third out at third base. Someone ought to SHOOT Konerko for that. TRAGIC....Let Manos come up with a guy on 2nd...

I am so damn mad....I could..

Damnit....

Konerko's our Roger Clemens specialist, apparently.

3-0 Sox. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Yeah... I just got home and turned the on the tv just in time to witness Maggs scoring  and the seemingly obligatory bad-base-running play for the game by the Sox (by PK). :o:

Olivo hits one to the gapper in left center field to knock in Crede...Olivo tripples!!!

4-0 Sox now in the top of the 5th!

I have to admit ... as mad as I was that Paulie didn't stay at 2nd, I laughed out loud when I saw him in a rundown, because, barring a freak bolt of lightning knocking off the throwing arm of the third baseman, Paul Konerko wasn't going to make it anywhere. I got a kick out of the "oh crap" look on his face, FWIW.

Frank hits a home run with Crede, Olivo, and Lee on base!!!

GRAND SLAM!!!

After that, Maggs goes back to back with him to straight-away centerfield...

That's 5 runs this inning, 1 out still...

9-0 Sox!!!

This is very, very good we're getting to their bullpen already. They used Nelson, Orosco, Weaver and Rivera yesterday, and a certain bad back is going tomorrow, which means they'll probably need the bullpen tomorrow even if this guy looks good.

Still waiting for the Royals to collapse

They are killing Texas tonight....Minnesota has an early lead in Anaheim and the Cubs are hammering St. Louis.

You destroy Clemens and the Yanks and can't even pick up a game in the standings!!!!!!!!!!

DAMMIT!

Well, it is just Texas, the worst team in the AL West.

I'm more concerned about the Twins, personally.

And yeah, the Cards lost, but with Prior on the bump I thought it would turn out that way, unfortunately...

Sox won, that's what matters most...

:gulp: for post #3000!

...tell me why we sent Flash out there today? Wouldn't that have been a great time to let Danny Wright get 2 innings of work?

Manuel is so stupid sometimes is is shocking. We really may need our closer vs the Yanks in the rest of this series or over the weekend vs Detroit. Nothing would have been wrong with him getting another day off rather than going out there and tweaking his hammy....

STUPID STUPID STUPID....

I love the win, but bewteen Konerko getting the third out at 3B and Manuel trotting Gordon out there...I just don't get it.

When was the last time Flash got some work? JM wants to keep him loose.

As I've written in here before, its time for the SOX to kick it up a notch. The royals are in it for the duration. The twinkers are beginning to stir. An "83' team" like final two months is in order. Tonights barrage was evenly spread throughout the lineup against Clemons. E-Lo pitched great again--boy I've said that a lot this year. Now lets gettum tomorrow! GO-GO SOX

Flash pitched on Thursday and got the save. vs Texas. That was after pitching Sunday, Monday and Tuesday that week. I just hate bringing a closer out when you don't need him...If he needs some work, let him throw on the side...

Just got back from the game. :D: I could probably count the number of Sox fans in the stadium on one hand, but you better believe that the few of us that were there were standing up and cheering for that Hurt grand slam. Few things are better than hearing Clemens get booed in Yankee Stadium.

Lets hope Colon gets it together for tomorrow cause I have a feeling we're in trouble facing Mussina on Thursday.
