he was the player to be named in the lofton and ramirez deal. Too bad that it was him because we won't be able to make fun of him when he struggles yet again to play at the major league level

Another overhyped Cub prospect along the lines of Brooks Kieschnick etc. Disgustingly, the Cubs have moved into a tie for first today with a win over the Dodgers.

Most of the hyped minor leaguers are over hype five tool soon to Hall Famer kid coming out of High School or College. It isn't a Cub problem but a problem with most baseball.

He's still a decent prospect. Heck, the guy they got in return is hitting over .300 and has been a sparkplug to their offensive, unfortunately.

Yep, still a good one. For the Cubs sake Ramirez better pan out, because losing Hill hurts. The biggest fear is that this move could pave the way for Groundzielanek to get an extension. That would truly suck.

That would really come back to bite the cubs in the Assss...Aramis ends up sucking (hitting .225 so far), Hill ends up decent, and the Pirates beat the cubs in the future on a 4-4 day from Hill.

That said, if we could get him cheap, I'd like to see him on the South Side.

Any idea who will be our 2B next year? I'd love Alomar back...but if we can't get him...

Willie Harris is sitting on the bench waiting for his chance to play..........

What happened to Rusty Greer? He used to murder us too.

Something tells me we'll be talking about Joe Borchard in a similar fashion someday! :(:

He had a ton of injuries, and he's pretty much retired.

As for the trade, nice job by Littlefield. Hill and Sanchez should be a good, cheap middle infield for a few years (better than Reece/Wilson, at least). The Bucs have some talent in the minors, but the owner, McClatchy, isn't willing to spend a dime.
