is 18-20, but their record in 2 run games is 12-5. Three run difference the Sox are 9-10. So in close games, the Sox are 39-35. Now this doesn't include games where is was close till the final innings but those should equal out over the course of a season.

The Sox have been shutout 6 times this year. When they score one run they are 1-12, no major league team has more then 3 victories in this case, two runs the Sox are 1-16, three runs on the board the Sox are 7-6, after four Sox cross the plate, the record is 9-7 and five runs equates to a 11-5 record. Six or more Runs the Sox are 34-6. So you could break this out into three parts, the 30% of the Sox games the Sox score 2 or less runs, and they are 2-34 for a .055 winning%, in 37% of there game when they score 3-5 runs the Sox 27-18 for .600 winning clip. When the Sox pour on the runs, six or more in 33% of games, they are 43-6 for 850 winning %.

I'll make sure to remember all of these stats while watching the game tonight. This is some meaningful info.

So basically we're pretty safe if we score 6 runs or more. Let's score 12 tonight!

What these numbers are is showing why Kanas City is on top of division despite being outscored. Kanas City offence isn't getting shutdown and preforming better then the avg playoff contenders in scoring enough to put their team in a postion to win. The Sox are the oppisite. Not only are they a below average vs playoff contenders, they are below average vs the MLB.
