While I'm a little upset about the way things have gione in Anaheim, if we can salvage tonight's game, we might gain a game on the Twins during this stretch. Not bad considering they are playing Cleveland at the Roller Dome.
2-0 Tribe in the fifth!
Given our past troubles in Anaheim, I don't think I'll be terribly disappointed if we get a split.
That being said, and speaking of scoreboard watching, is it going to be easier on anyone else's nerves tonight not having to deal with a KC score?

Cleveland has had the Twinkees number recently. This is a good thing.
Also, KC is idle today so we are guaranteed to gain a half game on them if we win. This is a huge game tonight.

Twins trail 2-0 through six. I can't remember the last time they scored.
They could be out of the race by Sunday night when they leave KC.

20 innings and counting — they scored in the 9th on Tuesday.
If they're out of the race by Sunday, that might not be a particularly good thing, because it will mean the Royals won the series, which means we won't gain ground. But I guess I'd rather chase just the Royals than both.
