All this talk by Thomas of swinging for the fences is AWFUL. It's called gets some singles to help the team once in a while. He's striking out a ton, and his homers have fallen off the pace he was at earlier. If Sosa ever told the media he was swinging for homers all the time, we'd be all over him for that.

Frank cannot hit when he consciously is going for only home runs. See the end of the 2000 season for evidence of that. All he needs to do is hit the ball hard, but not on a total upswing. Frank is either striking out or popping out, with the occasional walk and the even less seen base hit.

The Sox can't afford to have an automatic out in the middle of the order, so Frank, start hitting the ball like you used to - hard, not just for home runs. Screw the "Me" attitude, Frank, please.
