Thigpen Interview

Rooney interviewed Bobby Thigpen during last's night game.He asked Thigpen if Torborg over used him in his record setting year, leading to Thigpen's shoulder problems. Thigpen replied "no", his back problem occured that year after the season while he was in Japan with the mlb touring all stars. He claimed the mounds in Japan are slightly different, he didn't explain the difference, and felt pain in his shoulder while pitching there.

Sirotka's possible injuring of his arm in Japan, Thigpen, how many others that we don't know of?

Gee, if you're a ml pitcher is the few extra $$$ being on this team woth the possibility of an injury?

excellent point!
it's why i'd just as soon not see any extra-ciricular (sp) activity for these guys, including basketball, softball, charity sporting events of any kind, oversea tours etc.
hell i'd rather not even see sox players in the all-star game. they make too much money to risk themselves as they all seem so fragile anyway!
