View Full Version : News: Wright's chance for redemption

Dan Wright, who pitched a scoreless inning out of the bullpen in Saturday night's game, has struggled when used as the fifth starter. Wright (0-5) will get another opportunity for redemption Tuesday night when he opposes Anaheim's Ramon Ortiz.

The Sox have announced that their game on Aug. 24 against visiting Texas, which had been listed as having a starting time to be determined, will begin at 1:05 p.m.

The Sox have a 15-game stretch ahead before the next day off, with Wright scheduled to start Tuesday in Anaheim in the second game of a four-game series. Wright is 0-5 in 12 starts and is listed in the bullpen.

If Jimmy Gobble can pitch well after 2 starts in AA, so can Neal Cotts. I am sick of seeing Wright. Stick him in the bullpen and leave him there. This is getting rediculous.

Cotts walks people, put nobody hits the ball off him. Give him a starting opportunity, you never know if you have the next John Lackey. We know Danny Wright isnt.

Those MLB hitters are just a tad better than their AA counterparts.
