Three straight ground outs to third. Ughh!

Burly, keep the ball...

DOWN!

(The way Mulder owns us, one run may be enough).

TB up 2-0 on KC in the 4th. Let's capitalize!

RKMeibalane
08-08-2003, 07:23 PM
Buehrle must stop leaving his pitches out over the heart of the plate. Otherwise... well, you get the picture.

RKMeibalane
08-08-2003, 07:29 PM
As Bisco Stu pointed out, there are only a few hitters in the Sox lineup who have been successful against Mulder. They need to find a way to manufacture a run or two.

It's thinking like that that ran them out of the second inning. More home runs please... :D:

What happnened? The Gamecast isn't saying anything. I just know that the inning is over.

Well, I'm not the one who told Mags to try to advance to 2nd base on that fly to LF.

I don't think I've ever seen that in my 28 years of watching MLB.

Oh, now I see the picture. I've seen a runner get away with that once. Actually, Carlos Lee was the one who pulled it off. The left fielder took his time getting the ball back to the infield, and Lee sprinted for second, making it easily.

Yeah, tell me about it. What the hell was he thinking?!

Mulder has thrown only twenty one pitches. Sox hitters need to be more patient, so he will get tired and leave the game.

Alright, Joe!

At least we're hitting Mulder tonight. Let's get a run.

Nice bunt, Sandy!

If this game is close in the late innings, the Sox will win it. Mulder normally has no trouble with them, but they've already managed to push him somewhat.

It's funny how most teams would be excited to have a runner on third with one out and the middle of the lineup coming to the plate.

:jerry
Maybe I should take Buehrle out now -- he tends to win more in blowouts, than these close ones.

I missed the "bad" Buehrle giving up the two runs as well as the Sox' first run. Beyond that, I saw it all.

It was nice to see Buehrle come up big and show great courage. It was nice to see Manuel let Buehrle finished. It was nice to see Everett, often criticized because of his defense, make the game-saving catch. It was nice to see the Sox overcome some dumb baseball (though it'd be nicer to see it stop). It was nice to see the Sox beat a playoff-caliber team and a really great pitcher.

What was the nicest? It's more obvious than the fact that Sham-Me* does steroids...

WHITE SOX ARE IN FIRST PLACE!

Now, just keep it!

:)
