What do you think Wednesday's attendance will be for a full price, day game?

Depends in part on what they do/how they look tonight and what the weather is like tomorrow. If they get spanked tonight and the weather is lousy tomorrow, they'll get 16,000. If they win tonight and the weather is great tomorrow, they'll get 23,000. So there's your range.

I'm guessing around 22,000. Maybe more if the Sox win tonight.

I know there will be a couple of day camps there (myself being there as a representative of the Skokie Park District), but I still would be floored if they clear 25,000.

It's all good... No lines to wait in with these kids!

I'll say around 27,000 would be realistic. I'll be one of those people!

Wow... That's pretty good. Though I can't see that much of a walk-up.

I know a couple camps that will be there too.

But I think 25,000 is realistic. Day games don't do too well on the south side.

I would say around 22,000.

Make that 22,001. I am taking the day off and driving down to take in the game. I am going by myself and I am brining my glove even though I will be up in the club section.

Sure people will think I am a loser, but I am comfortable with that.

I am in NY so I don't know what the weather is, but if they have sold 20,000 already, with kids, camps and guys taking off work to go I would imagine they draw 30,000 to 33,000. I think we will be surprised to see the turnout.

For a day game and having already sold 20,000 my guess is between 28,000 - 30,000.

Ha! Good to know that you've found peace with yourself. :D:

(p.s. I got hit in the jaw by a Juan Gonzalez rocket shot foul ball in the club section a few years ago - the guy in front of me to my left deflected it right into my face. So let them laugh and point at you - you'll be the one laughing when you walk out of there with a souvenir and they walk out with a bloody jaw.)

On the other hand I was able to get a foul ball from a guy because he had a mitt. The ball was on the ground and he cupped it in the palm with the mitt. However it magically squirted out the front by the fingers (in all the commotion who's to say whether I pressed down on the mit or not). I bare handed it.

Remember while possession is 9/10 of the law, the oldest precedence requires controll in order to possess (something about a fox running across several farmers fields).

Early reports are that the Sox are expecting approximately 30,000 for today's game.

That would be about 120K for the series...maybe JR will see this as a sign to put a winner on the field every year.

I just went on to ticketmaster to see where the best seats would be and they are no longer selling tickets? Why is that? I would doubt another sell-out.

Is there a cutoff close to gametime? We are only 1:20 from actual start.

Yeah there is. They stop selling tix online about an hour or 2 from when the event starts.

It's more than that - I mean, it's not like the Sox are in 1st place or even have that great of a record. But by going for it, and convincing the long slumbering fan base that the organization really, truly wants to win and it wants to win now. That is absolutely the best "PR" that this team could possibly hope for. As the attendance this series proves.

Well, I was at the game, and there were 25 something thousand fans in attendance. Good crowd, energetic, lower deck was packed and the middle of the upper deck behind the plate was full.
