Yeah, I had the same reaction. It'll be the first time I've seen the Sox on ESPN all season (have they appeared on the network at all this year?). Hopefully the broadcast team is good. And even more hopefully, the crowd will behave and the Sox will dominate KC.

GO SOX!

They were on ESPN in April or May when it was cold, rainy and about twenty people in the stadium. I forget who they were even playing - maybe Oakland??

That's the broadcast where Joe Morgan refused on air to put on a White Sox rain coat - screw him.

It was a Sunday night game against Seattle, Bartolo was getting rocked out on the mound, and it rained through most of the game, before they finally called it.

It is about time. I am getting really tired of Gamecast etc. How about a win this time on national TV!

Too bad we can't see the ESPN broadcast here in Chicagoland. Instead we get the WCIU broadcast that has all the quality of Soviet TV.

Soviet TV? Good one!

I have local channels on my DirectTV setup so even WCIU comes in clearly. There is a delay of about 5 seconds between the TV and the radio broadcast which is really nice. I know to watch the TV and see the key action as it happens because Rooney & Farmer are giving me a "head start" with their yelling and ranting.

Swell, I'll be at work then. Hopefully come Wednesday I'm still excited enough about the Sox so that I'm upset I'm missing the game, and not relieved. I have a feeling I'll be irked though, hope the Sox prove me right.

GO SOX!

Well being outside Chi, I am glad its on ESPN b/c otherwise I wouldn't see it at all. B/C the Royals are on RSTN which is like WCIU, but its more like TV in China. :D:

Hopefully the Sox won't pull their usual choke job that happens when they're on national TV.

Are you serious!? The radio guys tell you what the pitch is before it's even thrown. It drives me nuts and is completely unwatchable. Although, there are some good porn channels on satellite! :o:

Nice to see the Sox respond so well with their TV appearance wasn't it?

Brain dead morons...

Well, Lip there is always Wednesday's game.....I would believe this team was real if they would have come back and won this game with homers in the ninth, but now, this just gives all those national baseball annalist saying the Sox are not for real and watch out for those Twinks.............time to rewind the tape on this game.........

That seems to be a problem with this team. It's home runs or nothing. During that hot streak they scored a ton of runs off homers. Sure they had guys on abse, but there were quite a few games in the first half where the Sox left a ton of guys on and didn't them in. Scoring 9 runs is good, but there were chances early in the game to really blow this thing open early. Maybe that would have changed JM's idiotic managing strategy of pulling Garland early.
