Geez, how long was the rain delay? It's only 1-1 in the bottom of the 9th.

Go D'backs!

Their game could overlap ours on FSN if it lasts another 45 minutes.

Don't worry Viva, I know the folks at FSN will do the right thing and show the right game when/if that time comes :)

I think the producers ought to look how many faithful fans are still in the Urinal, and make an educated decision to switch to the Sox game.

Once a game is started you can't just pull out and leave. The Cubs have priority until their games ends. What FSCH will do is have cut in from the Sox game until the Cub game ends.

By the way on a Sunday afternoon in August 1990 the Sox waited over eight hours before officially calling their game with the Rangers. It's believed to be a record.

The Sox badly did not want to have to pay the game in Arlington (which is what happened) because it was the last time Texas was in town and their remaining off days didn't permit a quick trip to Chicago to play it. It was reslated as part of a double header in Texas. The Sox lost that game 1-0 in extra innings to Nolan Ryan, then won the night cap game 4-2. That was the game where Fisk set the record for home runs by a catcher.

Well, there's about 20 minutes left, so let's hope the D'backs can get one across this inning.

But man, Raul Mondesi did his best lazy-man imitation last inning to help the Flubs along -- Lofton went to 2nd on a pretty routine single that was slowed by the 2B's glove, and Mondesi didn't get to the ball fast enough, and made a terrible throw to 2nd to boot.

Sweet, D'backs have runners on 1st and 3rd, no out, thanks to a Mondesi single.

This may end on time. Arizona has runners at the corners and nobody out.

Sham-ME* slips and falls trying to field a single, and the D'backs end up scoring 2!

Yes!

:gulp: :gulp: :gulp:

Back to .500, boyos!

What the hell kind of batting stance is that from Craig Counsell?

Doesn't look as painful as Moises Alou's, Viva, but is equally unconventional.

What a terrible relay throw by the D-backs SS. He had him by 5 feet!

Why are they still leaving Desenes in?

Dammit -- now I'm missing the Sox game, for the most part.

That Flubs game could go 20 innings the way those 2 squads are playing today.

only the cubs can do this to sox fans. E-mail fox sports and complain.
i have sent 3 e-mails to them already. Thay don't care about the
sox. If they did we would have at least split screen of some sort.
They have done that in the past. This sucks. I only get to watch
a few full games a year. Do they care no of course not.

What they should do in these situations is a golf-like system where they record everything and show the highlights on tape delay going back and forth between the cubs and the sox. show each pitch or something, there's no need for the crap in between. It got quite anoying when the Sox were in a big position to do something (man on 2nd, 1 out for example), I was really excited, and then they switch back to make me watch Alfonsucka pitch.

Pardon my lack of technical knowledge, which is most certainly being exhibited here, but why couldn't they (FSN) show a split screen, with a game on either one?

One thing is for sure,it was extremely disappointing to miss those first 2 innings. We almost always lose there going back to the 2000 playoffs debacle. After the way we've been treated in seattle,it would have been enjoyable to watch the Sox kick the mariners in the teeth.

To answer your questions:

1. Yes.
2. We're not. Forthcoming.
3. No. See answer to number two.

With the White Sox scoring big against the Mariners early in the game, we couldn't see the offensive outburst. Instead, we were treated to the Diamondbacks v. the Cubs. Yay!

ChiWhiteSox1337 (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?postid=218253#post218253) commented on the Diamondbacks and the Cubs in the 11th inning. Both had 1 out and bases loaded and both teams failed to produce a single run. ChiWhiteSox1337 then likened this situation to when the Sox play a certain brand of baseball, saying:

why must both of these teams suck?!!??! it's worse than the white sox when they're playing :corpseball

So, ChiWhiteSox1337 was basically comparing the Cubs and the Diamondbacks mutual inability to bring at least one run home with the bases loaded and one out to the Sox playing corpse ball.
