JM & KW are undoubtedly deciding what to do for Sat's start.

Options:
1) Start Ginter - how is he stretched out?
Here's his AAA stats:
W3 L2 SV13 ERA2.87 GP39 IP59.2 H54 R23 ER19 BB19 K45 HR2

Maybe 4ip at best. Then what?
Koch for 2ip?

Plus-side: Keep Dauby, Rowand, & Harris

2) Start Wright - AAA :
W1 L3 0 ERA4.64 GP8 IP33.0 H25 R18 ER17 BB10 K25 HR5

He's definitely stretched-out, but it's questionable how effective he will be.

If you're going to bring him up, dump White. Even if it means Danny becomes part of the bullpen when there's no need for a 5th.

3) Forfeit the game & take the day off.
After a long & arduous series in KC, it's not exactly a bad idea.

My choice: 2. Dump White & bring up Danny. Keep the bench as is.

No Wright in Seattle please-but I'm glad Schoenweis wont start there, they have seen a lot of him and right handers against Seattle's Cameron, Martinez and Boone are a good idea

Can we send down Porzio again? :D:

I think you have to give the start to Wright. He is the best option. I don't know if Ginter has any left. Maybe they can send down Willie Harris for the afternoon.

I don't want to cut White because his most recent outing was a bad one. He has been solid in the past and his veteran presence should help the team down the stretch. Of course since he bad mouthed Jerry and then had a crappy outing, he is probably as deep in the doghouse as a player gets. And around here, that means he may not pitch for the next 19 days...

From whom does Farmer get all his wrong info from?
Two nights ago he said Schoenweis would start a game in Seattle and last night he changed by saying KW told him Schoenweis would be in the pen all year.

I wonder who's running the team KW or JM.

Farmer, it seems, acts frequently on hunches ... sometimes he even admits it.

I'm more than a little worried about our bullpen. We don't have a closer.Marte & Gordon can be great setup guys but as consistant everyday closers they can leave a lot to be desired.I like having 3 lefties but we need another dominant righty.Hopefully Rick White can at least be good.Maybe the hand of fate will reach down out of the blue and strike Billy Koch on the right arm and make him the closer we thought we were getting.

I agree, it's a glaring weakness. Something tells me Koch is going to right the ship. But I'm usually wrong in these situations. :D:

With the 5th spot in the rotation expected to get 3 starts over that stretch, there's no other option than to bring up Wright.

Both Ginter & Schow have been primarily short relievers this year. Schow especially.

White has been horrible, Koch has been only slightly better, Wunsch is a specialist, & Marte & Gordon are too important to the BP to lose either of them for 4 days.

Ok, so let's assume Wright for Sat's start. Who goes down? This is the big question problem for the SOX.

Aaron has been hitting as good or better than Everett.

Harris has proven to be an important asset in the late innings. A run saver.

Dauby is the LH power bat, made less important with Everett in the lineup now.

White sucks & upset the team, the mgr, the gm, Cooper & SOX fans with his recent comments.

IMHO, it comes down to Dauby or White.

White: .886 OPS vs (1021 RH, 699 LH)
Very sad.

Dauby: .763 OPS (815 RH, 213 LH)
Vs contenders:
KCR 143 OPS
SEA 1045 OPS
OAK 500 OPS
MIN 833 OPS
BOS 2500 OPS

Dump White. The odds of him getting it together the last 2 months are slim to nil. If you don't want to dump him, them put him on the 15 day DL & re-evaluate the situation in 15 days.

At least with Koch you know that it's mostly a velocity problem & he does look like he's getting better.

White just looks fat, stupid, & pathetic.

I don't know. I'd be tempted to sent Harris down for the short term..or even Ginter, since Wright can go to the pen if he's going to have a decent length of time between starts. The bullpen is the weak spot as it is, and White really turned it on late last year for St. Louis. I'd hate to lose White entirely when we could just send Ginter down for a week or two and keep him.
