$12.5 mill next year - ouch.

In one sense, Reinsdorf's right about paying pitchers a bunch of money. For every maddox or roger, there must be 3 appiers.

He gave up 4ER in 0.2IP yesterday and didn't look good. They pulled him that early too! What do his season stats look like? Would be be so fed up with him over that?

Well we can sign him for cheap and have the Angels pay the rest right? If he makes $11 Million this year and we sign him for the minimum like $1M then they pay the other 10 or something I think.

According to some fans on the KC site, he will end up wearing Royal blue again.

OOHHHHH, I'm really shaking now.

Yeah, I wouldn't be suprised if he went to the royals, but I wouldn't mind it. I remember we hammered him last year when the angels were one of the hottest teams in the league

Appier, 35, was 7-7 with a 5.63 ERA in 19 starts this season while pitching with a sore elbow and a strained right forearm that kept him on the disabled list for 13 games.

Buyer Beware!!!!!!

"Why didn't I get that kind of warning with Sirotka?"

Apeman is 35, and has seen his best years behind him. Besides, he has some small arm problems in the past anyway.....

Remember - if a player is released and clears waivers, any team that signs him before his current contract is up only owes him the league minimum, so the Angels are eating the rest of his contract anyway.

Anyway, I think Appier is done. Between his arm problems and age, he's not worth it at this point.

My money says the Cubbies sign him.
