For a minor leaguer. Details to follow.

BTW, after acquiring Lofton, what do they need Glanville for?

The only reason for them to acquire Glanville is if Tom Goodwin is really injured (and they need Glanville on the bench) or either he or Goodwin is trade bait. This doesn't make much sense right now. They're certainly not going to play him in place of either Alou or Sosa.

Minor league player is Jason Fransz. Cubs looking to replace Trinidad Hubbard I guess. Kind of a nothing move.

Man...

Kenny Lofton and Doug Glanville in the same week?

It looks like they have just decided to spend all their money and go for it!

BTW, Wood shelled early. Cubs down 4-0. Bonds broke a window across the street.

Are you serious? On Sheffield or Waveland?

That's awesome.

Sorry, that Bonds shot was in BP. ESPN tricked me. Cubs still down 4-0 though.

Kerry Wood is a poor man's Nolan Ryan. Good to occasional great stuff, big time strikeout pitcher, average ERA and WL record.

Since the Cubs are bringing their bad players back, should we bring some of our bad players back? Maybe get Benji Gil from the Angels? Try to find Chris Snopek? Go after Jorge Fabregas?

:)

Since the flubs got Glanville, we should be able to pick and choose who we want from Houston and St Louis...considering they are out of it for sure now.

Cubs don't have a hit through 5. Wood out for a pinch hitter in bottom of the 6th.

Lofton 2 run shot in bottom 6th. Cubs first hit.

Wasn't Snopek on the Flubs recently?

And yeah, we should track down Mike Caruso, Jim Parque, Kevin Beirne, Jason Dellaero, Tony Phillips, John Kruk and Brian Simmons while we're at it...

His stuff is always great, his command gets him. I thought the league average ERA was above 4.00. I'm fairly certain of that.

The Sox should bring back Ron Karkovice, Dan Pasqua, and Shawn Abner, as well.

Don't you Sox fans get it? Wins/Losses, ERA - those stats don't matter.

Kerry Wood is leading baseball in the most important pitching stat, Strike Outs.

In fact, Kerry Wood pitched better than Jason Schmidt today because Wood had 9 Ks to Schmidt's 7 Ks.

You really shouldn't pay attention to Wood's walks today. And oh, that GRAND SLAM BOMB, that was just a lucky shot.

Pasqua - aaaahhh - he was so mediocre for so long - and Hawk loved him.

Bring back the Deacon.
