He could be MVP candidate only if he has a huge second half and the Sox win the pennnant. His first half was not that good. But he sure is rocking now.
How about a nice sweep!!

His 1st half doesn't MATTER! He is on fire right now and to me it seems like he's hitting .600. Every time he goes up there it is productive. Isn't he at like .320 right now? yup, .322
I think he should warrant major MVP consideration if we make it into the playoffs.

Last seven days line:

Avg. OBP SLG OPS
.577 .621 .846 1.467

Now there are some numbers.

Dare I say it? Those numbers are "Ruthian", unless you ask Barry Bonds, he would tell you that they are "Bondsian". :D:

Let's get KC today!

If Maggs propels this team into the playoffs then a MVP award is not out of the question. Miguel Tejada led the A's to the playoffs last year without having the best stats in the league, which belonged to A-Rod, and he bagged a MVP.

Maggs definitely should be considered for the award if the Sox reach the postseason. His numbers are excellent, and he is clearly making a difference both at the plate and in the field. If the Sox win the pennant, it will be because of Magglio Ordonez.
