We have a tendency not to notice these things and neither does anyone else but here are the AL standings since June 7th

1. Boston 30-16 .652
2. New York 28-15 .651
3. White Sox 29 -17 .630
4. Kansas City 29 -18 .630
5. Oakland 26-19 .578

That is right we have the third best record in AL since June 7th. That includes our being swept by Detroit and losing 2 out of 3 to Tampa Bay. The only depressing thing about this is that KC and the White Sox are neck and neck. Lets put them away one to 3 this series.

Go SOX.

Well, all of that is since the AS break. Yeah, they had a nice stretch against the flubbies and Twinkies, but they gave it all back. The team is 11-1 "recently"...

This is great, but the thing that concerns me is that we play all of the other teams on this list in the next two months.

Go SOX indeed.

OK but we have the third best record in the AL since JUNE 7th. Yes a good portion of it is the recent 11-1 run but June 7th was a while ago and we played some bad baseball in the middle. Imagine if we hadn't lost those games? And when was the last time we were blown out? The second Giants game back in early June.

Unfortunately the season started to count on MARCH 31!

Where might the Sox be if they hadn't pissed away 9 GAMES where they took a lead into the 7th inning of a game or later and LOST IT!
