I would love to see the Tigers do the Sox a huge favor and win at least one of those games. Assuming the Sox take care of business at home, that would narrow the deficit to three games for the series in Kansas City.

The Royals lead Detroit 7-2. Minnesota is tied 5-5 with Cleveland.

It's now 8-2 KC. Minnesota and Detroit are still tied at five.

Detroit has added another run, so the score is now 8-3, but it looks the Royals are going to win that game, so the Sox will still be four games out. The Twins game is still tied.

All done at Comerica... 8-3 your final, as the KC Royals beat their AA affiliate.

It looks like everything will stay the same until tomorrow. This is shaping up to be an exciting race. The funny thing is, we're the only people who realize that. No one else is paying attention.

Wait aren't the guys at BBTN all over the important baseball races?

Now wait, who is in the AL Central? I know Boston isn't. There are more teams there than Minnesota? Huh, I guess I never...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

as long as we stay hot going into the royals series i will be happy.

we are doing what we should against tb's( not what we did last time). the offense seems to be clicking on all cylinders. it's a good time to be a sox fan.

Just one day closer to the end of the season, and the easiest part of your schedule ends Sunday.

Well that's good. We have absolutely sucked against Tampa Bay, Detroit, and Cleveland. Thanks for the tip.

Has your team started any fights lately? Phil Garner is still looking for a job, ya know.

Perfect. That way when the Sox win the division, they will have done it against playoff bound teams and will be ready to play them in the playoffs...

That's right! Bring 'em on...line 'em up...knock 'em down.

Who's next? :)

Agreed. The Sox have played much better baseball against playoff calliber teams. I'm looking forward to the series against the Royals, because it will give us a good idea of where this team is with regard to post-season play.
