Go Sox! Shave Hawks Head!

RKMeibalane

The Sox need to jump on Halladay early. That means being patient at the plate and forcing him to make a mistake. Unfortunately, there are a number of hitters in the lineup tonight who probably have never heard the word patient.

Let's hope that he doesn't do too much damage. The Sox can't afford to fall behind, especially since this is a road game.

The Sox did not score in the top of the first. Frank is sitting on 399. Stay tuned.

Inning #1 played out the way I like it. I'd like to see that happen for about 8 more innings. Then the Sox can score one run to win it in the 9th.

The Sox are doing a much better job of hitting with men on base. That was a huge problem earlier in the season, but it looks like they've made a lot of progress in that area. I wonder if Greg Walker has anything to do with this, because they started gradually showing this improvement after he took over.

3-0 Sox after one and a half. WSI would like to send out a special thanks to the Blue Jays for screwing up on defense.

FYI: Halladay has thrown forty eight pitches through two innings. The sooner he is out of the game, the better.

I had found it, but thanks. What's annoying is, we had 639 (Fox Sports Chicago) programmed in as a 'favorite' but not 640. So, I had to go through every channel until I found it; for some reason I thought it was on CLTV, which is a channel that I don't think is on DirecTV. (Or is it?)

One of the great pleasures of DirecTV this Sox Fan enjoys is NOT having Cub Lovers Television to pollute the sheer joy of surfing channels.

Just kidding. Yeah, I'm having a blast here, too.

(But terrible base-running by Everett there, considering there's a man ahead of him on the basepaths.)

Let's go Sox. Close it out this inning...

Someone upstairs REALLY WANTED us to win that one. That game was gift-wrapped for us. Which is why I was so frustrated and turned it off with 1 out in the 9th. Then, watching the KC Blowout on ESPN2, I see the Sox AHEAD of Toronto 7-6! I nearly fainted. Then turned it back on just in time to see the Damaso DP.

Unbelieveable....hell of a win. To overcome blown leads, bad relief pitching, stupid baserunning and still win.

That does show some heart.

I wonder what Kenny Williams was thinking that last inning. Wonder if his TV survived?

Keep winning guys, that's all you can do. Keep winning and you force management's hand to get MORE talent next week, not less! (especially pitching...Porzio needs to be replaced and we need another arm in the pen.)

I tuned out when Krotch gave up the run in the 8th, and was watching BBTN. Then they showed Konerko taking one for the team to put us up and I had to run back to the computer to tune in the MLB webcast. Wow.

If Sox can somehow win tomorrow, then Hawks dome just might become, shall I say, smooth as a baby's bottom. A win tomorrow makes 7-in-a-row, with the DRays in town for three games.

Sox one game above .500... Cubs one game below .500... heck, I even finished a college semester tonight... a pretty good night!

Btw, as I type this, BBTN's Gammons, Reynolds, & Wingo are verbally duking it out! What a great night this turned out to be!

All I need now is a female extra (or three) from the movie "Sweaty Women in Chains" to show up on my door step.
