How'd he look? Any signs of that fastball I've heard so much about coming back? In the box score, it looks like the AAA Tiggers hit everything he threw. I'd have expected at least one K out of him if he's ready to go back to closing tighter games.

I was at the game, he had a 1-2-3 9th, but failed to top 90 with his heater

That's pathetic. Makes you wonder if KW does homework on any of the players he trades for or just trades for them because they're relatively big names. It sucks that the Sox are stuck with Koch for next year at $6 mill. He can't pitch, but does whine well.

The TV gun showed him at 93 a couple of times.

Which is why I think the stadium gun is wrong. The stadium radar had a problem where it was about 10 MPH off in April, so they took it out for Pitch Count and after a while they brought it back, but it was showing Gordon's fastball at like 89 while it is always around 94-96. Also Gordon was K'n people up with the heater, so I think it is still screwed up. Koch is probably throwing 92. But we got him because he used to top 100. What's wrong with this guy?

Hey Billy,
