Agreed. They need to get rid of him and start fresh with someone else.

It is unfathomable how many games this season the Sox haven't shown up for.

JRIG

I know we all know this, but some numbers:

Frank at DH: .234, .368 OBP, .463 SLG, .831 OPS in 61 games

Frank at 1B: .352, .487 OBP, .725 SLG, 1.212 OPS in 27 games

No amount of offense or defense Konerko or Daubach gives us is worth that difference.

Somebody needs to show those numbers to Jerry Manuel, and fast. I'm getting sick of seeing Frank finish 1-4 with a strikeout and three men left on base. It's depressing, and it's keeping the Sox from getting on a roll. Notice how when Frank doesn't hit, the team doesn't win as often.

Earth to Jerry Manuel: Wake up, or get the **** out!

I think this is Manual getting even with Frank for past disagreements, at the expense of winning, of course. Even that dolt must know the difference-and we had our best streak of baseball this year with him at first.

Anybody remember Mark Mulder almost no-hitting us in Oakland at the beginning of the 2001 season?

I prayed he would so Julio Ramirez and his type would be gone from the team.

Flash-forward to today. I'm hoping that Cornejo no-hits us so that Jerry Manuel and his type will be gone from this team.

That's pretty pathetic.

KC has 9 games left with DEt, 7 with Tampa-all those games we lost to these teams that they will likely win, will mean the end for us this far into July

Frank is 2-13 since the 'Break. Earth to Manuel: Put Thomas at first base and then leave him the hell alone! The same goes for the rest of the roster, as well.

So, he wastes Daubach, who could play first if Konerko is pinch run . Harris should have been sent up to force the move.

Manuel's a genius. All this tinkering may pay off into a big win against the Tigers.

voodoochile
07-19-2003, 08:03 PM
Well, I guess that 7 straight 2-out hits in the 7th makes up for getting no-hit for the first 6.2, but a little more consistency would be nice...

Were each of those hits by Ichiro? Does anyone else get annoyed whenever DJ mispronounces Ichiro's name? He puts the emphasis on the wrong syllable.

He does talk about him a lot. I don't remember the last time a game went by and DJ didn't say something about Ichiro. He also likes to talk about his own experiences from when he played in Japan, and he usually ties those stories in with something that Ichiro did.
