Why are Cleveland fans booing Robbie? Because two MVP-quality seasons in three years wasn't enough? Because he never wanted to leave Cleveland and said so? Because Matt Lawton sucks? Because they're morons? Help me out here.

Has anyone else noticed that this team seems incapable of hitting hard line drives? When Sox batters put the ball in play, 95% of the the time it's either: 1) a popup, 2) a lazy flyball, 3) a routine grounder. This effect is even more pronounced with runners are in scoring position. Man does this make me nauseous.

3-0. Guys, I'm only watching this on MLB gameday but it really seems like yet another game that the Sox haven't even shown up for. Four scoreless innings against another AAA pitcher.

At some point that has to reflect on the manager.

JM got a lot of credit for the hot streak we had through Minne and the Cubs, but shouldn't a team play well at some point through the first half of the season on their own?

And while I'm assessing blame, it should be noted that the Sox were at the top of the game when Kenny decided to bring in two chemistry upsetting players and has received considerable praise for it.

The Sox won two series: at home - against bitter rivals - with good fan energy behind them. Once they hit the road against the dregs of the AL, they can't get themselves motivated to play.

The two players who were brought in replaced: 1) Jimenez, who by recent accounts isn't missed by anyone in the clubhouse; and 2) Rios, who was complaining about a lack of playing time he didn't deserve to have anyway.

For the record - unless anyone on this board can prove they have access to the Sox clubhouse on a regular basis, or has published statements from Sox players - any conjecture about 'clubhouse chemistry' is meaningless.

I dont think we should worry too much about Manuel's strategy. It seems like after this game, there are only two games left in his Sox managerial career. If we lose the next two, no way he doesnt get fired on Wednesday.

Sure am glad we got rid of all those baserunning mistakes and defensive lapses at 2nd base when we aquired Roberto Alomar.

Meanwhile, in an extremely small sample size, Jimenez is batting .400 (6-15) with the Reds with a walk, a triple, and three runs scored. No errors either.

Don't worry. By this time next year, Jimenez will have worn out his welcome with the Reds, too.

According to Farmer, Alomar had a terrible flip to 2nd base on what should have been a double play. Instead the ball went into the outfield.

Then, in the bottom of the 8th, Alomar dropped a throw on an attempted steal at 2nd that allowed a run to score.

Notice JM had him SWING on 3-0! (That's why JM sux. Yeah, let's give our crappiest hitter the 3-0 green light in a game we HAVE to win).

Of course, JM can justify his suckiness because of the HR.

Thank goodness they threw him a strike. If they'd have walked him, Everett would have been forced to hit into a 1-2-3 DP.

I like the idea of allowing Paulie to swing away there. You figure he is going to get a fastball, which is good enough to hit a flyball most of the time.

If we make the playoffs (don't laugh, please) I would much rather have Gordon closing out any potential games with Flash over Billy Botch.

If Flash gets hurt we are in big, big trouble.

It's great to read about a good comeback, but honestly, where were those at-bats against the two worst teams in baseball?

As much as you want to praise the guys for the nice victory, it'd be almost hypocritical, at least in my book. If they do this with any kind of seasonal consistency, I'd give nothing but congratulations. But, a stretch of scratching runs across while behind in games followed by a stretch where they score less than five runs and get swept in three-game series by the Tigers which was preceded by losing two of three to the Devil Rays, they pretty much cancel out, I figure.

In the end, it's a victory. Now, to win tonight and tomorrow. If they do that, I'll give them another chance. No matter who is pitching later, it's important for the offense and defense to do all they can to go into the break with three wins in a row.

Well, that's enough of that. White Sox won. Good. Now just keep winning. Is that too much to ask now, really?

Hopefully we pound Westbrook tonite, take tomorrows game, and go to the break with a little steam.

I'll take it, but 9 out of 10 times the ball isn't thrown down the right field line and we lose 4-2.

There's nothing wrong with getting lucky & stealing a win. I'm sick & tired of being unlucky & losing. It's about time things start evening out & we capitalize on somebody else's "bad luck".

We let another "no name" rookie pitcher shut us completely down didn't we?
