as a team they play well below the sum of the parts. And it's been going on for 3 years now. The talent is not WS quality, but it is playoff quality. But this team can't play .500 and loses 6/7 to the three worst teams in the league.
Not much to do about it this year - frankly, I'm afraid what KW might do in a panic mode. I would suggest bringing up a couple of young pitchers for the bullpen, if we have any that are ready for the majors.
But other than starting pitching, this team needs to be assessed, torn down and rebuilt brick by brick, player by player.

I am afraid what KW will do in any mode.

This is beginning to look very sad, even tragic... the White Sox have underachived for 3 years now... unbelievable
