All passes are hereby revoked. All personnel are to report to their computers and start voting for Frank Thomas. This is not an optional order. You want to be in the Army, then it is time to cinch it up and hunker down.

Undefeated we are. Now it not the time to let that record change. This will not be our Viet Nam.

Uncle George Wants You!

Get out your fingers and start voting!

Vote Frank! (http://outfield.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2003/mlb_final_vote_form.html)

Yeah.

I've put in 500 so far today, going to take a work break and then get back to voting in a couple hours. Sox Army, I'm so proud of you guys ... let's make this final push and show the world what it means to be White Sox fan.

I'm doing what I can but I don't have a lot of time. I wish they would update who's in the lead so we can see if all this hard work is paying off. The last update was yesterday afternoon.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but they don't seem to be checking the validation code anymore. You can put any number in there and it takes it...

I have gone home from work so I can spend the rest of the afternoon clicking away. Is that devotion or what? :)

Seriously though I just hope I don't wear my mouse button out...

I wish I knew. Why would they take the validation out if they aren't going to count them? Or do they realize what happened?

I've been Sox Army recruiting. I've got 3 different people helping me here at work. One guy voted 40 times for Frank, one guy promised me 15 by the end of the day. I've even got a friend in the Seattle area voting for me. I've done at least 125 today so far. Frank HAS to get in. We can't let Boston screw us two years in a row!!

***P.S. ACCORDING TO MLB.COM VOTING ENDS AT 5PM CENTRAL TIME WEDNESDAY!! KEEP VOTING!!

Been voting here since noon. Lost count. I don't like the sound of Varitek opening up a lead overnight. Keep going Sox fans.

A little over one hour to go. I need some people to help spread some disinformation.

If you have an ESPN account go to the BoSox board and congratulate them on Veritak's win. Act sad like you are conceding. Then get back to voting, fast. Maybe a few guys will stop voting there and it will help out...

I'm going to visit the NYY board and ask for help annoying BoSox fans by voting for Frank...

Now more than ever ask not what the Sox Army can do for you, but ask, what can I do for the Sox Army?

GO FRANK!

Since when does being a fan of a player or team imply non-obsession. Oh that's right, this is boog we are talking about. He wouldn't know the meaning of the word fan...

I would suspect they are checking the validation code on the server side. They had to remove validating the validation code to keep us from using that variable to automate the voting process.

Voting has officially ended. I was able to get in 275 votes in the last 40 minutes. We'll hear the winner at 5:45. I'll be surprised if we pull this out but we made a very nice finishing.

Voting just closed. I sat down a few times today and shot off about 20 votes each time, but I just spent the last 45 minutes straight at the computer and got as many votes in as I could.

My eyes hurt now.

I just pounded out about 300 votes in the last 50 minutes. I'm exhausted but pleased. Now we just wait it out. Go Frank!! Go Sox!!! Let's get Frank in the All-Star Game and take a game from the Tigers. Let's gain some ground on KC. Go Sox!!!

yeah, my fellow co-workers and I estimate we got in about 350-400 total votes down the final stretch today. Hope it was enough. Did anyone have any luck convincing NYY fans to vote Frank? I convinced an Indians fan here at work to vote Frank...he hasn't forgiven Boston and Pedro for beating the Indians in the playoffs a few years ago. :D:

Actually, they said they prefered Veritak, but the guys on the NYY ESPN board aren't normally voting types anyway. It's a pretty serious board...

Why would they prefer Veritek??? That's dumb.

Some guy said it would be something for the BoSox fans to hang their hat on at the end of the season... The others had other reasons. Some just thought Veritek deserved it.

Stand tall and proud, Sox Army!

We may have lost the battle, but the White Sox can still win the war.

Frank did end in 2nd.

Varitek was the AL vote leader after each of the three days and was the fans' choice over White Sox DH Frank Thomas, Yankees first baseman Jason Giambi and Angels catcher Bengie Molina.

Varitek and Jenkins will each fill the 32nd and final roster spots in the American and National Leagues, respectively, after three days of extremely close races

Well .. we gave it a good effort.

Next year, I'll have a program to convert images to text so I'll be prepared to MAKE SURE A WHITE SOX candidate (if there is one) wins!

I figure I submitted 20100 total.
10100 perfect key votes.
10000 duplicate ui but unique x,z votes.

JUGGERNAUT
07-09-2003, 07:10 PM
I should have started looking at the code
on the 6th.

I would have realized that the real vote submitter was the thankyou page.

I could have combined the 2 Sunday night, & made 1 lean mean voting page.
Could have run 10 instances alone in netscape!

Victory would be ours!

But alas, they did not happen. I did not start until Monday evening.

By Tues morning, they had changed the code.

Are there really that many RED SOX fans?

Final thoughts:
Anybody want to HTMLs that loop between each other & issue votes to MLB?
:D:
