Scammin' Invited to Put on SHow for Fans

Scammin apparently was invited to the Home Run Derby afterall.

Sosa, who's missed 17 games this season because of a toe ailment and another seven due to a suspension for cork being discovered in one of his bats, was invited to participate but decided to take the full three days off after learning he didn't get selected to the team. Sosa had been on the last five NL All-Star teams.

Hadn't seen this until tonight, so if it's old news my bad.

If this is true, it just shows yet another indication of how much a dope this spineless commissioner is. In previous years, one had to be an actual MLB All Star in order to participate in this contest. Now, it appears that Uncle Bud wants to bend the rules in order to accommodate Sosa. What a complete tool Uncle Bud is!
