Trading him would have devestating effects on the clubhouse and our drive to October. He is playing the kind of leadership role Ozzie Guillen played for us in 1993. Manos' errors have cost us at times, and he hans't swung the bat as well as we would like. However, his presence gives us something that has been very lacking: Clubhouse Leadership.

I agree, you have to keep him. His defense has really improved in the last month. He is a big leader of this team.

Manos is Jose Valentin, Spanish for "hands." Clever, huh?

You can learn all the lingo here at WSI using the WSI Dictionary (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/glossary.php?s=) . There is a link to it on the drop-down menu above.

Woo hoo!

Even though he isnt the best player, Jose is still a major contributor because he is the heart and soul of this team. Getting rid of him would be a mistake.

Not only is Jose a great leader, he's the best baserunner on this team by far. He and Robby are going to be one of the best DP combos in the game, with Alomar's range and Manos' arm. Not only that, but he is swinging a hot bat now. I am happy with the trades but I think KW has done enough for this season, and I don't want another trade to go down.

Not like the reigning AL MVP wouldn't be welcomed, but like I've read in a lot of posts already, he's not needed. I really like what Valentin brings to the field. He's a great clubhouse guy, when he's on, he's one of the best guys on our team, he's had some clutch hits and home runs for us and while his defense is suspect, I think with Alomar, there's no need to upgrade the SS position.
