John Sickels writes on Jeremy Reed on his "Down on the Farm" column... very favorable.
Down on the Farm: White Sox outfield prospect Jeremy Reed (http://espn.go.com/mlb/columns/downonthefarm/1575867.html)
a sample:
The White Sox wanted Joe Borchard to be the Center Fielder of the Future, but he has struggled with contact against advanced pitching, and his prospect star may be setting. Reed hasn't gotten much attention yet, but he is poised to be the Center Fielder of the Future for the Sox if someone else doesn't seize the job soon.

Sounds pretty promising... here's hoping he's ready by '04 or '05 in case Everett doesn't return.

Good to see him getting some more press. He deserves it. I also like seeing that Sickels agrees with me that he has the ability to end up at CF if needed.

I just hope Reed isn't one of the players in the Everett trade.

No, I bet Reed was one of those no touch players. He's been #1 or #2 prospect up there with Neal Cotts this whole year.
