Are you kidding? After that 9th inning loss because of Alfonseca? That has to be the lead story from 5:30 until at least 9:45!

Of course, none of us should really mind Murph talking about the Cubs if he's ripping them all the time, which he does. He rips them so much you would think he's a WSI poster.

The unfortunate thing is that Sox fan Fred Huebner is on vacation. Murph will have either a Joe Bartosch or Jesse Rogers beside him instead.

For Murph, this is probably a no-brainer:

Jesus Prior having a game lost by "Six Finger Chokejob" Alfonseca

or

The Sox:

-beating the Twinks handily 6-1
-Buehrle proving he's regained his form by going 8 strong
-Sox moving to just 2.5 back of the Twins, 3 back of KC
-Sox moving to 1 game of .500 since forever
-signing Robbie Alomar
-signing Carl Everett
-dumping 2 lesser players on the '03 Sox squad

Which would you talk about?

Let me guess, Murph leads off with Jesus' being betrayed by one of his disciples...

So far he's actually spent a decent amount of time on the Sox.

I was intrigued over all this Murphy stuff, so I decided to listen to him and he has been pretty bipartisan. Pretty equal time devoted to talking about the two teams and the calls, also.

Of course, as a Sox fan, all of the talking should be about the White Sox!

By the way, I loved one Cubs fan's phone call. It started out with him saying, "To prove the ineptness of the Cubs management" or something to that effect.

Thank God the Sox management seems to have eptness so far, huh?

I know, I know. It's an actual word (ineptness), but it just doesn't seem right with ineptitude at one's vocable disposal.

Oh, by the way, Murphy is calling this the "Green Flag" deal(s), the antithesis of the White Flag trade.

Think it's gonna stick?
