I live in Jacksonville and Im from New York (go figure).

Down here on Espn radio or Fox radio everytime they mention
the cubs: Its the first place Chicago Cubs. Not the Chicago Cubs.

It would be something like:

"Updated scores.....The first place Chicago Cubs romp over Milwaukee 4-3, White Sox narrowly defeat Yankees 17-1"

They do not do this for any of the other first place teams.

Now that we are winning....Something is wrong with the Cubs.
Or the score is said too fast for anybody to understand.

This is freakin hillbilly Jacksonville and they are hyping the cubs.

That goes for the broadcasters on Espn. Everybody is hyping the cubs and twins for that matter and the fact that we are beating them is not because we are playing good baseball and we might actually be better but because something is wrong with the cubs and twins.

Makes me want to go bash someone with a sledgehammer! Like Kurkjian or GAMMONS.

Kurkjian always ishes on the Sox and raves about twins.

All I want is a little respect for my sox.

A. Be glad the Cubs are not in first place anymore, we dont know how long that will last

B. Of all people, Bruce Jacobs (Who seemingly cannot stop talking about the jets, mets and how stupid dolphin fans are while doing his freaky laugh) on Fox Sports Radio still believes that the White Sox will end up pulling it out in the end
