Down on the farm: Brian Anderson hit the first home run of his professional career, one of three hits, during Great Falls' 10-9 victory over Ogden. Anderson drove in three, while Brad Bounds added four hits and two RBIs. Fellow draft pick Matt Nachreiner earned his first victory, striking out two in three innings of relief work.

Robert Valido knocked out three hits, including a triple and a double, in leading Bristol to a 6-2 victory over Pulaski. Valido drove in two runs.

Aaron Miles celebrated his International League All-Star selection with a double, triple and five RBIs in Charlotte's 8-5 victory at Syracuse. Ross Gload, a fellow All-Star, went 3-for-5 with his seventh home run and 36th RBI. Gary Majewski earned the victory, striking out four in two innings, while Matt Ginter picked up his seventh save with one perfect inning.
