View Full Version : At Fenway tonight...Patriots 25, Dolphins 8

The New England offense ran roughshod all over Miami's defense tonight. Two touchdowns in first spelled doom for the Fins.
On the serious side, a Marlins pitcher was hit in the head by a line drive and had to leave the field via stretcher. Also, I understand there was a bench-clearing gathering in that game because the Red Sox and Marlins were throwing at each other.

Ouch, I saw the replay of the line drive and it was scary.
Other tidbits about the game. The Red Sox scored 10 runs in the 1st without making an out, which is a record. Johnny Damon is the 2nd player since 1900 to have 3 hits in the 1st inning, lol he almost hit for the cycle in 1st. After the game, the Marlins manager did not like how aggressive the Red Sox baserunning was with a 20 run lead, and he said he would not forget it, so there's a good possibility of more players getting hit and/or a brawls in the next 2 games.

Patriots owning the Dolphins? That's nothing new. :)

Yeah the beanball got wild. I would be upset too at Boston running up the score with such a big lead. I think the next two games will be interesting to say the least. Dontrelle Willis looked 'bout ready to bust some heads coming out of the dugout. What a bad @$$. That was a crazy game and that pitcher getting hurt is scary, but they said he was ok which is good. 25-8, wow.

Also, what did Boston Gammons have to say about this? This has to be like watching porn for him.

That fast of a line drive to your head has to killa couple of brain cells. That was very scary, he went down and was out cold. The hospital says he will be okay though and I hope that is the case. That was a pretty scary moment for the Fish and baseball, but even after that happened they was a bench clearing word war.
