From the Sun Times:
The Cubs, who have dispatched a scout to Kansas City, are seeking a left fielder, and the Sox are shopping outfielder Chris Singleton. The Texas Rangers also are looking at Singleton, who clearly is not in the Sox' plans for 2002.

Singleton, 29, likely could clear waivers and be dealt before postseason rosters are set Aug. 31. He hit his fifth home run in the eighth.

Yeah, listening to the Rangers game on the radio, the commentators echoed the thought about bringing a guy like Chris to Texas--they desperately need a 3rd or 4th outfielder--hey for an exchange, maybe we can get Aaron Myette back!!! LOL

I dunno.

Matt Karchner for Jon Garland? I'd take that.
