Rob says:

Has Frank Thomas already done enough to get into the Hall of Fame?

Yes, he has.

It's easy to think of Thomas as a disappointment, because he hasn't done much over the last few seasons. But from 1991 through 1997, he was the most devastating hitter in the American League. In those seven seasons, he topped the loop in OPS four times . . . and in the other three seasons, he was second twice and third once. Basically, he was Jim Rice with a lot more walks and without the assistance of Fenway Park. No, Thomas didn't do anything at all with the glove. But "The Big Hurt" more than made up for that with his bat.
