This team better score some runs today, or Manuel deserves to be fired for putting this lineup on the field.

The way Clement is pitching, I'm sure Manuel is kicking himself for not starting Konerko. He probably thinks it would help his confidence.

I think they have 3 different games and they're showing them based on interest level per locale

Can they stop now?

man, only the Cubs could make Willie Harris, Aaron Rowand, and Josh Paul look like world-beaters.

2-0, with Colon a stone cold lock to wrap up the sweep.

If Buehrle shows up for work, we ought to be fine for this one. The fact the opposition is the Cubs gives me hope.

NOTHING, and I repeat, nothing, is a stone cold lock for these Sox. Get this win and yea, I like Colon's chances coming off a bad start. Gotta get this one first.

What are the current odds of the sox scoring this many runs by next friday?

It ain't over til it's over.

No lead ever seems safe for the sox.

Sox need to add some more to this game. There is too much game left.

Harris made a good play to take advantage of the ivy, but that ball should have been caught. Why was he playing so shallow?

Because he is a second baseman.

I love how Cubs fans email the guys on TV and complain about them being Pro-White Sox. LOL.

That's funny to me....

The funny thing is that the announcers were just calling the game as they saw it

Have they actually been listening? I'm reading their comments and am stunned at how pro-flubbie they have been. It's the little digs. Obviously Lyons is rooting for the Sox. He even said as much, but for the most part it has been more of the same old same old...

cubs fans have their own deluded world...then again it is making me reconsider my assumption that they are ridiculously pro-cub

they are, however, practically salivating over wrigley and shout out in excitement every time the cubs complete the most mundane of accomplishments ( base hits, etc...)

i actually heard them say "vacuumed up by gonzalez" on a slow roller he scooped up

Karros is annoying.

For Buehrle it always seem like the opposing team has
one player that has his number.

Better Karros than Patterson, Alou or Sosa

Finally, we tag a guy out at home... it seems like every time that situation comes up, the guy scores.

Anyway, I hate when JM brings in Tom Gordon with runners on base.

Makes me nervous...

As it should-

Tom Gordon should only be in games we are losing. What happened to Gary Glover?

Vsahajpal

Wendel Kim should be fired immediately after the game, this is about the 4th time he's blown it this season, ridiculous. This guy should be jockeying horses somewhere not costing the team runs.

As our offense has decided that they're done for the day, hopefully the 'pen can hold it down...

btw, good thinking keeping gordon in for another inning considering how dominant he was last inning. Trying to save the 'pen for tommorrow, eh jer? We all know how short Colon's outings usually are...

This is getting out of hand. How long can you keep him in? He's getting lucky, and may get out of this, but this is terrible. We have a bullpen....USE IT!

BTW, that's how real right fielders make catches in the sun.

Thanks, Vic. That was a great game to be a Sox fan. My knees are jello. I was going to take a walk, but I need to come down a bit...

Your bullpen did a monster job.

Manuel outsmarting ANYBODY (even Wristband Baker) is an upset.

Oh my God I had about 20-30 heart attacks in that game. Thank you God for letting the Sox hang on. I had flashbacks to last year when the Sox came back from 8-0. I was wishing I hadn't bragged about that game to every Cub fan I knew.....Whew.

Me too! It's the feeling I had at certain Northwestern football games in 1996 and 2000. Like that 54-51 victory over Michigan.

Of course, I feared this game would be a repeat of the Loyola-UIC game at the Gentile Center. The Ramblers had the game all but won, but the Flames drove a three-point buzzer-beating steak through the hearts of those of us in Rambler Nation. I was fearing the same would have happened to us today.

Meanwhile, let's not at all rest on our laurels (which I think we did today a little) and make this series a White Sox sweeper.
