Step right up
The Sox promoted left-hander Byeong Hak An and outfielder Jeremy Reed to Double-A Birmingham.

An, 22, went 8-4 with a 3.16 ERA for Class A Winston-Salem. Reed, the team's second-round draft pick in 2002, hit .333 with four homers and a Carolina League-high 52 RBIs for the Warthogs.

The Sox sold the contract of Triple-A outfielder Cliff Brumbaugh to a team in Korea.

Couple of things:

1. Is An that much of a prospect? His K rate has never been very high, and his walk rate is getting worse. Why is he getting promoted?

2. Why was Brumbaugh sold? He was our best hitter in Charlotte. I guess the Knights' outfield will now be Borchard, Sanders, and Morgan, right?

I think it was because of his race.

I'm guessing he was sold cause they got decent money for him. Plus at his age, he isn't really considered a prospect.
