Just stumbled across this piece from our team's former ace.

I'm not sure I fully agree with him, but it's worth considering.

I'm sure he's just saying that yes, he cheated. And since we have no hard evidence that he cheated in the past, there is no real reason to assume his stats are bogus.

Also, cheating has been going on forever.

Jack has no real thesis here, so it's hard to understand what his central arguement is. He goes from the history of cheating, to why you shouldn't assume he's done it before, to why there haven't been any innovators in cheating....

I enjoyed SoxDemon's critique of Black Jack's lack of rhetorical control.

Here's what I glean from the rambling 500 or so words Jack graced us with:

1. Sosa knew exactly what he was doing.

2. He got caught.

3. Time to move on.

My response: So what?

I prefer Kittle's analysis: "Blindfold me and I could pick my bat out of a hundred."
