Instead of tearing down Edgar in order to keep his salary down the M's recognize that he is a value to the team both as a player and as a representative. The Sox and their fans seem to feel that Frank bears the onus of the teams lack of achievement. Also the Seattle fans and the press treats its players very differently than the Chicago fans and press treats theirs. Players like Thomas and Sosa are abused in the Chicago press on a regular basis. In Seattle players like Griffey,
Randy Johnson and ARod are still loved even though they left some ill will behind them. They have as much a chance of being cheered as being booed when they return to Seattle.

Do you think that Sosa and/or Frank have been "abused" by the local media?

Frank gets abused if he farts wrong. SamMe is the media god so no one hardly ever disses him.
