4th round pick Robert Valido SS
and
27th round pick Dwayne Pollock LHP

No details on terms,I just happened to notice that they are both on the Bristol roster.

I really hope Valido works out because the organization right now is devoid of SS prospects

Angel Gonzalez is a little young to give up on.

Nice. Let's get the rest of our top picks in the house, too.

Wasn't Valido projected to be difficult to sign? If so, this is a good.

Not particularly. Still a good early signing though.

No he had every intention of foregoing college to play pro ball, his teammate and 17th round pick Guillermo Martinez may be diffucult to sign, but this may have been made easier with Valido signing.

Well all in all still a good. What is the usual "average" time it takes for a high school draftee to reach the majors? What about from college? What are the odds of seeing some of the Sox top picks turn into something more than, say, Johnny Ruffin, Scott Ruffcorn or McKay Christiansen?
