Borchard has Light Tower Power, but that is only useful if you actually hit the ball. Avg. = .211

I was thinking the same thing, but decided not to say it out loud because the last time I mentioned something like that Loaiza had a perfect game through 3 1/3 innings on opening day, there was a hit immediately after I mentioned that there had not been a baserunner

Yep, that is the way that it works.

Curious thing about Borchard, in that everyone says that his swing is too long, which it is. but the problem is, this problem has been evident since day one when he signed with the Sox. At some point, after his contract runs out, do you think that he will say srew it and go back to football?

At 27 years old? I doubt it.

This is starting to smell like a 1-0 loss.

HR Thomas

Edit: Daubuach just homered. 2-1 Sox, Top 6th 1 out

See that girl jump in the pool and get all wet after Daubach's homer? We need a pool! :D:

Wrong again, thankfully. I have no complaints with the season that Frank is having. That is his 11th dinger (leading the team)and he is batting .262 and is rising steadily. I am also not down on Jimenez. He has been an offensive improvement over Durham, which I did not expect.

Holy %$@#%!!!

Two Snellius family donations in one inning brought to you by Thomas and Borchard.

Maybe we can just start calling homers Snellius Family Donations or Snellies

Make that Warning Track Power. .195 and dropping like the stock market in Aril of 2000.

Frank now has 387 homeruns. Once he gets to within five homers of four hundred, we should start a pool.

Leadoff single by Thomas and absolutely SHOCKING Maggs hits into a double play. When will this stop?

Maggs doesn't go opposite way anymore, like the rest of the lineup.

Currently it is the middle of the 8th. I am just going out on a limb, and say we do something stupid, and lose this game in the 9th inning.

I expect them to screw this up somehow. Is Manuel awake or asleep in the dugout? The game isn't televised where I live.

You aren't missing much, RK.

Borchard's swing is so long, from the beginning of his swing I can spell "strikeout" by the end of his swing.

Crede might be #1 in baseball at acquiring an 0-2 count. The guy has 2 strikes every time he steps up to hit. 0-20 for him now.

I would stay up and watch this, but I this I have seen it before.

I think it is the one where Billy Koch comes on and gives up three hits after the Sox either go 1-2-3 or erase their baserunners with DPs.

It says on the commercial that we are going to see 100mph heaters. I haven't seen Billy Koch hit 97 yet. What's the deal with that?

Just incase you were wondering, we might have the slowest outfield in the majors with the one we have out there now-
Daubach, Borchard and Ordonez.

RKMeibalane

I don't know what the Sox are going to do about Crede. If he can't get his swing straightened out, they are going to be in real trouble. At least Konerko can be easily replaced at first base with Thomas. There is no one on the roster besides Crede who can play third full time. Tony G can play the position every once in awhile, but his glove is too suspect for him to play there every day.

Who is due up for the Sox in the tenth? I don't think they can a win a game that goes into extra innings, especially with Jerry Manuel as the manager. He'll end up using Paul Konerko at second base.

I tricked them, they thought I was going to sleep, so they scored to make me regret that. But really I stayed up! HAHAHHA.

Why does it seem that Frank is amazing some nights (tonight) and deceased 10 years on most other nights?

Joe Borchard is the second fastest guy on the 25 man roster, behind Willie Harris.

Joe Crede, worst hitter in baseball. No one takes worse swings, and no one has a worst idea of the strike zone!

To save time, I'm going to place the blame on Jerry Reinsdorf.

I wouldn't go that far. There's no way he's worse than Royce Clayton.

Great pitching tonight. Wright-Marte-Koch all did well. Luckily one guy showed up on offense (Frank) and that is all we needed.

I wonder if I can get playoff tickets yet.

After Borchard strikes out he gets back to the bench very quickly.

I don't know about that, but that doesn't say much, anyway. It just shows how slow this whole team is.

A beautiful hit by Frank in the 10th. Marte was just awesome. He's the only reliever where when he comes in, you think he won't give up a hit. I know it's just one win, but when the Sox get one like this, I go to bed a happy guy.
