As a math and science guy, I have to wonder about that HUGE donut think that Corky puts around the handle of his bat. If I were going to break a pencil by holding onto its ends, it would crack in the middle. If I added more pressure to one side of the pencil, then the pencil would crack closer to that side. Is there a chance that by putting the donut on the end of a bat that it would cause the bat to crack in the already thinned handle instead of the barrel? I mean how many barrels break nowadays? Is it possible that Corky has been doing this for a while and when the bat breaks, it has always broken at the handle? Again, just a thought.
