Charlotte -- The Knights lost to Scranton Wilkes-Barre 11 - 10. Edwin Almonte took the loss. Ross Gload hit a home run in the 8th for the Knights. No other details available this morning. Charlotte is in 3rd place in the Southern Division of the IL, they are 3 games back from first. Their record is 26 - 25.

Birmingham -- The Barons lost to Huntsville last night, 5 - 2. Starter Enemencio Pacheco picked up his first loss of the season, giving up 5 runs in 5.1 innings. The two runs for the Barons were scored with an RBI single by Darron Ingram and an RBI double by Chad Durham. Birmingham is in 2nd place in their division, being just one game out of first. Neal Cotts is leading the SL in strike-outs with 81, he is also second in the league with 7 wins. Cotts also leads the league in walks (34).

Winston-Salem -- The Warthogs picked up a big victory last night in Salem, Va. Byeong An picked up the win, defeating the Avalanche 7 - 2. Mike Spidale had three hits and two RBI. Casey Rogowski belted two hits, including his 3rd homerun. Mike Morse and Chris Stewart each had two hits. An has won his last 4 starts, with a 7 - 2 record. The Warthogs are in first place in the Southern Division of the Carolina League. Pitcher Ryan Wing is 2nd in the league in pitching with an ERA of 1.34. Kris Honel is 2nd in the league with 50 strike-outs. Jeremy Reed is first in the league with 41 RBI and Ruddy Yan is leading the league in stolen bases with 35. The Warthogs are in first place with team batting and second place with team pitching. Great combination!

Kannapolis -- The Intimidators managed to win over the Charleston Alley Cats last night, scoring the winning run in the 9th inning. Anthony Webster scored on an Alley Cats error in the bottom of the 9th, putting Kannapolis on the board for the win, 7-6. Rick Hummel earned the win for the K-Sox. Kannapolis is in 6th place in the Sally League, being 11 1/2 games back.
