Loaiza 7-2, 1.92 VS. Lidle 8-2, 4.42

WILL Stevie Loaiza continue his winning ways against his former team????

WILL Corey Lidle continue his dominance against the Pale Hose????

WILL Paul Konerko go to the All-Star break with more DPs (13) than RBIs (15)????

Stay Tuned...

So far, Toronto has 3 errors, two of which led to runs...

Maggs' single in the fourth extended his hitting streak to 14 games...

Loaiza got a HUGE strikeout with Delgado at the plate (who hit a solo shot in the 2nd) and Catalanatto on 2nd...

Sox lead 3-1, top 5.

Considering how the first two games of this series went, a split would seem miraculous...

"If I'm Hudson I try to get picked off here. Frank Thomas doesn't play much first base, you might want to make him throw." - Ed Farmer

This may be the single stupidest thing I've ever heard. Why would a player who has reached base want to put himself into a position where an easy play could put him away?

I'll admit that it is poorly phrased, but I think he was suggesting that Hudson should test Frank's defense by straying a little father than usual, and hope for a miss. Interesting idea, if poorly worded.

Just as you say that, runners at the corners, no out inning ends with 0 runs. Hard to do for most teams, not the Sox. They make it look easy.

Speaking of Loaiza..Has Loaiza always had that wind up he does before delivering the pitch? I could swear he didn't use that delivery when he was with the Jays.
But I think I'm just thinking to much..

Another strong outing for Loaiza, who keeps his ERA under 2 (1.96) and picks up win #8 in the process... and we FINALLY beat Corey Lidle.

Good job again by manuel on the pitching changes. I liked the move to leave Marte in for the first batter to face a lefty, i think demaso knew that he was done after that by him walking straight off the mound after the K
