That is the only one I found. I typed in "Paul Konerko + hip and/or condition, degenerative, and only 12 hits came up. I went to all 12, and this was the only one that is relevent, and it is from 1998. For something that is allegedly common knowledge, it isn't documented anywhere.

If you read the book or saw the movie "All the President's Men," you'd recognize Konerko's response as a "nondenial denial."
