Thought this was worth a read-
CHICAGO -- Joe Nossek, bench coach for the White Sox, no-hit the team yesterday in batting practice before their game against Toronto. This should come as no surprise to those who follow the Sox closely, as Nossek is not the normal BP pitcher and falls in line with the Sox recent struggles against pitchers they haven't seen before. With the teams recent hitting woes, Jerry Manuel decided to "shake things up a bit" and throw the 67 year old Nossek in hopes to improve the mental state of the Sox hitters. However, Manuels plan may have backfired as the crafty righty lit up the radar guns at 59 mph with pin-point location. Nossek did issue a walk to Brian Daubach, but he was promptly erased when he was grounded into a double play by Paul Konerko.
