He can't play defense, but his speed might get him moved up quick.

He's actually getting on base this year (.413 OBP), so that's a good sign.

Yan has improved tremendously this year. Even his defense is better (no balls thrown into the dugout yet). I'm sure, if the Sox leave him in Winston the whole season, that he'll set a new stolen base record (he set one last year with 88 SB's). He continues to make things happen when he gets on base. He's just a really exciting player to watch. Hope he makes it.

Sounds like our farm teams are doing well. Hopefully all of our prospects can continue to improve and play well. Give the guys time to tear up the minors. Stop rushing prospects. I think the call-ups could be:

Position:
Miles 2B
Borchard OF
Rowand OF
Brumbaugh OF
Hummel and Sanders too?

Pitchers:
Rauch
Stewart
Porzio
Ginter
Cooper?

He has speed, but he just runs all the time. Reed has 16 or 17 SB's IIRC and has only been caught once. Yan has 26 or so, but has been caught 13 times last I checked. That's only 2/3's success rate, not very good as he moves up.

Can we please stop talking about Aaron Rowand as a prospect? Sheeeesh. Neither Brumbaugh or Sanders really deserve "Prospect" status either.
