Man, what a wild one. Zingers-a-plenty (most of them wind-aided), plenty of bloopers whenever anything is hit in the air, injured right fielders, etc.
11-9 Cards lead and it's only the 4th inning...

Brutal conditions, winds gusting up to 35 mph straight out, Marrero went down, had to be stretchered out. Fugly

This is a crazy game. They just delayed the game. It's amazing that more players haven't been hurt so far.

Oh great, another reason for Cubbie fans jerk off in front of ESPN classic.

I watched the last couple of innings of the game with a couple Cub fan friends. That game shouldn't have been played. Dreadful conditions.
The Cubs will probably end up winning the make-up game the way the Magic Pixie Dust has helped them this year.
Not only did the wash-out of the game give them a chance to win in baseball conditions, but it rescued Matt Clement from another poor start. It's hard to say exactly how Clement did given the conditions, but he sure didn't look good. Even the chipper one Chimp Caray said that Clement hasn't pitched like he did last year. Of course the last game Clement pitched Chimp said that Clement had been the Cubs hard luck loser.

Clement is lucky that those 11 ER got erased. What a joke of a game. Good thing they decided to call it and try again when it's more realistic conditions. Last thing we need is a legendary 22-20 Cub win called the "Windy City Game" or something. They would never stop talking. So I guess a Koch for Marrero deal is out with him on the DL. X-Rays were negative tho.
