just heard this idea for a new manager on the radio: Sandy Alomar Jr. catchers usually make some of the best managers. they know how to make a line up and a pitching staff work against certain teams. he is well liked in the clubhouse and respected most of all. just a thought as we continue to keep the fire red hot under JM.

I just hope Sandy MANAGES to get through the season healthy and impart some wisdom on to Olivo. He can really help this team if he stays on I think with his experience. Maybe someday though.

Personally I would love to see Sandy coach... Kind of like what they did in Major League 2...
Problem is, who's our #2 catcher?

I'm back, Sox fans!

I know this would never happen because it would require JR to swallow his pride, but what about Carlton Fisk ?

He could be player-manager. I think Pete Rose was the last...
