The White Sox won't fire Jerry Manuel because they can't afford to pay two managers. He further believes that JM is doing a good job and is the target of unfair criticism. I judge the manager by the record. I can’t sit and dissect every decision the guy makes. It seems that most folks here believe that the Sox should be leading this division. “Disappointing” is the word I would use to characterize the season thus far. :(:

So if Bobby Valentine, Joel Skinner or Willie Randolph is the man to lead the White Sox from “point B, to point C”, forget it. They simply can’t afford it.

When do we start hearing the mantra from management that we can't win because there aren't enough fans at the ballpark?

Well, its true!! It is not enough that we have increased ticket revenue due to the All-Star game, we need people to now use those tickets and buy beer and food and spend money on parking.
