The funniest thing about how poorly we've been playing is that if we can somehow scrape a 'W' tonight, we're still only 3.5 games back. As for how we play for the rest of the season, well thats another issue, but it's important to keep in mind the fact that the Royals are sinking like a fat kid in a dunk tank, and if we can muster any type of semi-consistent decent play, we'll have a damn good shot at winning this weak division.

I've said it several times before - I think the Twins are the team to beat in the division. I don't care where we finish, if we make the playoffs our pitching will turn us into an instant contender (provided we can spark the offense).

Well the Royals are losing, but so are we and the Twins are winning. I wouldn't be surprised if we overtake the Royals only to be overtaken by the Twins. We need to get it together.

Wouldn't a fat kid actually float better than one with less fat?

If we can stay above .500 the next two weeks we will be o.k.
