Among the new rules, roster sizes are up to 32 and now players/ managers/ coaches will vote in 8 or 9 (depending on which league) of the backups as well as 8 pitchers. The ASG managers will consult with the commissioners office to round out the rosters. The home field advantage thing was made official.

Every team still has to have at least one rep.

oh well, better chances of some guys making it now, i remember last year with the "30th man" vote, magglio came in 2nd to last place with a really low amount of vote so I like the new 32 man rule

Yeah I like the 32 man roster. Maybe Maggs can actually get voted in this year! Not that it will happen, but it would be nice if our team got a starting player voted in.

I completely agree. Can you hear the complaining when one league goes on a long streak of all-star wins? Adding that "significance" to the outcome is nonsense.

Did anyone hear Farmer rip on Kevin Brown during today's game?

Brown was complaining that the All-Star should be an exibition and represented by the fans and how this new rule takes away all the fun. Farmer took offense and comically looked up Brown's stats to see if he is going to the All-Star game. Farmer then wondered if the reason Brown got the jet was to fly back and forth from the DL. Hilarious.

And Rooney concentrated on the game with great play-by-play. What a perfect tandem these two make.
